Safety Programs and Training

Given today's hazardous construction and industrial maintenance environments, safety training is no longer a luxury...it's a necessity!

Patent offers both Basic and Advanced Scaffolding Erection & Dismantling courses. Led by OSHA certified instructors, these courses feature simulated work environments, hands-on product demonstrations, and the latest in audio-visual teaching techniques.

Basic Course

The 8-hour (one day) course covers the safe erection and dismantling of frame, tube and clamp, and system scaffolding. Also covered are OSHA regulations applicable to scaffolding, inspection of scaffolds for OSHA compliance, and basic engineering principles of scaffolding.

Offered: Upon request at the customer's facility.

Advanced Course

The 24-hour (three day) course includes all subject matter covered in the BASIC course plus:

  • Special scaffolding erection, including knee-outs and hanging scaffolding
  • Proper installation of ladders
  • Requirements for both 22-inch and 36-inch scaffold stairs
  • Proper use of personal protection and fall protection equipment, including applicable OSHA regulations
  • Confined space, equipment and procedures
  • Lock-out, tag-out procedures
  • First aid and CPR certificate of training
  • 10-hour Safety and Health Certification from OSHA
